More About This Virtual Event

I was asked by a student organization to speak at their event. Now these are 17- and 18-year-olds. It was an opportunity to course correct something that I have continuously been exposed to since the inception of the Internet… There is no protocol. It's lawless, for the most part; and when internet technology started to bleed between personal and business, I took notes. Lots of notes.

I knew there would be a breaking point in this work life balance issue, and it didn't start with remote work. It has a long history, slowly evolving into the major issue it is now. I find it easier to digest everything that I know about the history of technology regarding your life and your work when you present it in a brutally honest and transparent way.

In fact, it almost comes across as comedy in a way, because knowing what I know about automatic technologies, social media, and just pop culture in general, birthed these ideas of The New Protocol and The Perfect Day.
