More About This Virtual Event

This event is perfect for groups looking to inspire success!

Drawing is an activity most people write off as “something they just can’t do.” Experience the boost in independence and confidence as participants learn how successful they can be when applying themselves. Skills here translate into every aspect of the corporate world…. And it’s a lot of fun!

I will show tips and tricks I learned at Hollywood Animation studios how to draw the cartoon head from every angle. It’s referred to among artists as “The Squint Technique!”

I will show how to add facial expressions and how to create your own character with an exercise that I call "the All-Purpose Critter."

This event is for EVERYONE!!

If you’re someone who thinks they can't draw, by the end of class, I promise you’ll learn about skills you didn’t even know you had!

HOSTED BY

Gene Hamm

I was born in Seaside, Oregon, a logging town. The only log I was interested in was a pencil to draw with. I moved to Hollywood in 1978 and two weeks later I was lucky enough to get a job animating on Ralph Bakshi’s Lord of the Rings, which kicked off my cartooning career.

I’ve been teaching Animation and Storyboarding for roughly fifteen years at Academy of Art University, where a couple of my students went on to work for George Lucas and Pixar.

Experience it for yourself! Animation is a great way to express your individuality and creativity!
