More About This Virtual Event
Ongoing disability awareness in the workplace is essential for enterprises striving to achieve full digital accessibility for their customers as well as their employees.
If disability awareness is never adopted into the ethos of a company, accessibility initiatives can quickly become just another task to keep management happy.
This virtual keynote event aims to drive the desire to support equal opportunity among marginalized communities.
The hosting team, Able2B, is cofounded and led by Jon Thaxton, former British and European Boxing Champion and Rachael Hutchinson, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in managing disability.
Rachael and Jon will talk through the meaning of disability, and how to break down the elements and optimize team working for every member of the team whatever their ability.
We all have things we are good at and things we are not so good at.
Understanding this and how to optimize the true strength of your team will not only improve efficiency in the workplace but also lead to a happier, more understanding work environment for all.
If you would like your business to be more able to adapt to disability and be inclusive in an effective way, then this talk is for you and your team.
HOSTED BY
Jon Thaxton and Rachael Hutchinson

Rachael Hutchinson has over 15 years of experience as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working with individuals with a disability. Her functional training and years of work with young adults have taught her the pitfalls and difficulties faced by those with a disability. She understands the importance of understanding the true classification of impairment and disability in improving outcomes for not just the individuals but for the team and employer they work with.
Rachael and Jon's ability to bounce off each other’s experience has led them to be described as 'unstoppable' in what they can achieve working with individuals and groups around disability.
